The Resort
Corralejo was once a small port and fishing village. With thousands of visitors drawn to its sunny climate it has become a favourite resort for tourists. Due to this demand Corralejo has developed into a modern town while retaining its picturesque old-village charm. Food and entertainment can be found within the old music square for those looking for Canarian authenticity, while the main street caters for all tastes in food and entertainment.
The centre of nightlife in Corralejo is the Centro Comercial Atlantico on the main strip, where you will find a few disco bars upstairs. Elsewhere on the main strip there are some popular British pubs and live music venues.
For something more relaxed the northern end of town has many open-air bars and restaurants as well as a few small bars where you can hear Latin and Spanish music. Corralejo is a real 'town' and if you wander into this part of town you can probably forget that you are a Tourist.
A 15 minute drives takes you to the beautiful fishing village of El Cotillo where there are several charming Canarian fish restaurants overlooking the sea and on the outskirts of the town are the beautiful lagoons.
Corralejo is approximately a 40 minute drive from the airport and the 18 hole Golf Course at Caleta de Fuste is a 45 minute drive away.
National parks Fuerteventura
Corralejo's Parque Natural de las Dunas (Dunes Natural Park), an area of supreme natural beauty that is a protected nature reserve.
This natural park is an area of supreme natural beauty that is protected from environmental damage and further development by law.
It lies right on the front line of the Corralejo beach, one of the most fascinating beaches on the island of Fuerteventura, and it is surrounded by impressive white sand dunes.
Baku Water Park
Baku Water Park is currently the only water park in Fuerteventura and is situated in Corralejo.
The water park has 6 main slides of varying speeds and thrill levels, and most of these are multi-lane. There is also the Castle with its slides, the waterfall and wave pool and a childrens area.
If you want to chill out try the sunbathing area, the poolside bar or just relax in the jacuzzi.

Come the evening, you will want to make your way to the third area at Baku Water Park, which is the Baku Europa Park. Here you will find the Baku Mercadillo, a street market packed with clothes, accessories, handicrafts and other canarian products. You will also find the lounge bar, restaurants, Baku bowling and even Baku bingo!
Fuerteventura Zoo
Fuerteventura Zoo is commonly known as OASIS PARK La Lajitas. It is situated in the south of the Island, around a 1 and a half hour drive from Corralejo.
It is well worth a visit and if you are not hiring a car it would be a could idea to find a tour office and book an excursion.
There are many shows that include sea lions, snakes, crocodiles parrots (for the little ones!) bird of prey and camel rides for the daring! There are many animals besides these mentioned including Hippopotamuses, Giraffes and over 200 different species of birds

Flag Beach Windsurf & Kitesurf Centre
Flag beach is in the north of Fuerteventura on the road driving out of Corralejo. The wind is predominantly cross-shore and Flag beach is the start of some 6-7 km of white sand, where we have about 3 km for kitesurfing. The best months for kitesurfing are March to November. This is when the sea tends to be flat and the wind consistent. During the winter months it can become too wavy and though it might be good on the occasional day it cannot be guaranteed. We have a team of excellent watersports instructors who not only sail, windsurf, surf, dive and kitesurf but also speak 6 languages between them. You can also feel safe in our hands as Rescue facilites are always at hand for any situation that might occur.
